RTL Boulevard is the biggest entertainment show on television. Each night between 1 - 1,5 million people tune in for the latest news on celebrities, royals, crime, scandals and pop culture. The show celebrated their 15th anniversary in 2016 and launched an online platform in 2017.

For the launch of their new online platform this entertainment show was looking for a video content manager.
I was hired as a freelancer for two months (Dec 2017 and Jan 2018) to help organise and strategise the content they had in mind. This was divided into two different types of content:
Daily ‘on the news’ videos - each day would start with a 20+ people meeting discussing the latest news. This would be the line-up of the television show, for which the online team would filter out the interesting items. We’d gather visuals and copy for social videos that we posted on Facebook and Instagram.
Video Formats - long-term video concepts which we would pilot throughout December. Items include 42 Seconds (in which we would ask questions to famous Dutchies walking from the makeup room to the tv-desk), Boulevard Chatter (the news crew discussing daily updates on camera, TMZ-style), Weekend Update (famous Dutchies looking back on the past week’s news) and a huge 2017 Recap.
I was running a small team of editors, producers and directors - often collaborating with the television crew and famous hosts / experts.
Besides coming up with the ideas and producing these videos and formats, the most important part of my job was bringing structure to the team. Using tools like Google Calendar and Google Drive I managed to set up an overview and user guides for the existing editors, future freelancers and the online team in general for a smooth workflow.
