BAZELEVS DEVELOPS NEW HORROR FILM WEBCRAWLER WITH BLOODRAVE

BLOODRAVE will write the script for the screenlife-film, based on an idea by Unfriended’s Timur Bekmambetov.

The film webcrawler will revolve around a young girl working the reception desk of a hotel who starts to suspect someone is stalking her from inside one of the rooms. the whole story will play out on laptop- and phone screens in a format popularised by the production company bazelevs, called screenlife.

Being selected for the screenplay, writer tim koomen sees this approach for screenlife as a chance to explore new ways of storytelling. “the opportunities of something like screenlife, which I’ve seen in films like unfriended or searching, are very rich to navigate in new territories of tension and horror. writing webcrawler will be a completely different way of structuring a storyline.”

Bazelevs has an exclusive deal with Sony pictures for worldwide sales and distribution. When Webcrawler will be ready to go into production depends on when the screenplay is finished.
